WWII Battle Tanks: T-34 vs. Tiger, is a unique tank simulation game and is the first in a series of simulations focusing on the gritty realism of battle as well as authentic historical representation of environments and vehicles.
Players will have control over their own tank and get involved in fierce historically accurate tank battles in the former Soviet Union. Various missions will give players the opportunity to get close to the emotional experiences that tank crews felt during World War 2 battles, from sheer terror to the elation of victory. During battles players can really feel the difference between the brutal heavy armored German Tiger and the more agile and fast moving Russian T-34 Tank. Based on historical references, these two tank models’ interiors’ have been faithfully reconstructed, with fully animated 3D environments for Driver, Gunner and Commander positions.
The player can take direct control over each of these crew members, all of whom have their own responsibilities. Each member can be killed or wounded by enemy fire, and after being hit, your tank may get technical problems, for instance with steering, transmission or handling, just as it would in real combat.
Battles take place in the vast Russian landscape, with its villages, forests and streams, all reconstructed using historical maps and photos. Maps are scaled up to 80 square kilometers, so various types of battle task can be combined in one mission. The environments are fully interactive meaning that the game offers realistic destruction of buildings, trees and vehicles, from cannon fire, machine gun fire or even ramming attacks. The superb ‘Napalm’ game engine makes it possible to represent players’ tanks and all-driven vehicles in painstaking detail, featuring high-quality textures, historically accurate markings and physics and ballistics models.
