Good points:
I am no expert but this monitor rocks. Black is deep and rich, white is very white and not slightly yellow like my 24" Samsung. Overall a great buy.
Bad points:
Price is a bit excessive but worth every penny.

Score 10.0/10
Good points:
Great image, no dead/hot pixels, semi-matte screen so no reflections, sturdy adjustable stand, four usb ports, easy to use menu (and quite easily to calibrate the colour).
Bad points:
Possibly looks a bit industrial with a huge stand.
Came with a European plug and no UK plug (my wife's identical monitor bought through Amazon had both fittings).

Christopher, Bristol

Score 9.0/10
Good points:
Has lots of inputs.
Looks good even when switched off.
Excellent picture quality with minimal IPS/PLS glow.
Beautiful and vibrant colour balance out of the box.
Blacks are very deep and detail retention is good even in dark images where LCD displays can often have difficulties.
Very consistent and even illumination with no discernible backlight bleed that I could detect.
Subjectively very smooth pixel responsiveness, especially when 'Response Time' set to 'Advanced'. Easily good enough for games.
Exemplary dead pixel policy. According to their warranty, Viewsonic will replace at no extra cost if you find even 1 stuck/dead pixel on any of their VP range. Therefore, one is probably better off dealing with them directly. Check their website for further details.
Very good build quality.
Very Stable stand, no need to worry about it falling over.
No PWM LED dimming (Backlight does not flicker on and off at high speed as a cheaper way of lowering brightness which can cause eye-strain and bad headaches for some people such as myself).
Very ergonomically adjustable. Can easily be raised/lowered, tilted or swivelled into Portrait mode.
Because the pixel density is so high, it still looks good even when set to lower resolutions.
Has low energy consumption due to the LED backlighting.
Overall, an excellent all rounder. Great for games, movies and general computing.
Bad points:
Only a few insignificant things that I can think of:
2560 x 1440 displays are still significantly more pricey than their 1920 x 1080 counterparts. I might have been satisfied with 1920 x 1080, but I got this one because of all its other strengths.
Furthermore, I would have liked to have seen a 1920 x 1200 or 2560 x 1600 model, but nobody seems to make those at 27 inches.
Out of the box, default Brightness is set to 100/100 which I found way too bright. I had to set mine down to 15/100.
I would have liked to have seen one or two more options in the OSD, such as the ability to entirely switch off scaling.

Score 10.0/10
Good points:
The display is crisp and has multiple connectivity options. I've attached laptops via micro HDMI cable to HDMI (not supplied) and also full resolution using Displayport cable (supplied). OSD is a bit basic, but all in all an excellent monitor
Bad points:
No UK Power Plug in the box (it was European). Display does not auto sense when in Portrait mode.

Score 10.0/10
Good points:
Extremely pleased. I have read a multitude of positive reviews on this monitor and was not disappointed.
Bad points:
Just a general issue with all HD screens, something I didn't realise until after the purchase. Because the pixel density is so much smaller everything becomes tiny. You can change your default text size in Windows which really helps but software like Photoshop is dreadful. The toolbar buttons are ridiculously small. Google this and you'll see that this is a common problem when using any HD screen and many are hoping that Adobe will resolve this.
