Emma, Dublin Often on the move

Score 3.0/10
Good points:
Weight is featherlight, hardly noticed it in my bag.
Bad points:
Space bar was defective from the outset, only had the computer for a day. Have now been without a laptop for 3 weeks, while Toshiba decide whether to repair or replace. REALLY irritating and unlikely I will go with Toshiba again in the future.

J G P, Often on the move

Score 8.0/10
Good points:
Very light weight. I have a bad back so this was an important feature. It's much lighter than I imagined - love it. Set up was quite smooth. So far performance good. I'm a freelancer and need to run the general Office applications, email, internet etc, and it does just what I need. Really good to have the larger (13.3") screen too, with clear resolution. I work in a mix of lights (bright and dim) and so far it copes well with both. Apart from the one bad point (below), I'm really pleased with this laptop; it's doing just what I need.
Bad points:
You have to press hard on the keyboard for it to work, or end up with words together/mistakes. I'm hoping this will improve over time. I generally use a separate keyboard to get around this, but it is frustrating that they keyboard is awkward as one of the reasons for a light weight laptop was to make carrying it around and using it on the go easier. So if you want to use it as a laptop most of the time without a separate keyboard plugged in, this might be a problem. It's a shame, because everything else about the laptop is great.

Chris, Brighton Often on the move

Score 9.0/10
Good points:
Very light
Start up time is fast (around 16 seconds)
Wake up time is fast, too (around 2 seconds)
Linux runs really well on it
Stays cool, even with heavy use
Bad points:
Cheap fan makes an irritating noise. The laptop barely gets warm yet none the various BIOS options stop the fan just running at full speed all the time.
