Score 8.0/10
Good points:
Excellent clear screen, good spec and performance, good looking keyboard
Bad points:
Only 2 USB ports and too close together to take larger size memory sticks in both slots. Unnatural position of pgup, pgdn and del keys. Tinny speakers with few sound options. Easy to open DVD drawer inadverently when moving machine due to location at naural pick up point

Good points:
Great spec for the money. Runs windows 7 with speed and stability. Good quality screen & brightness, quiet fan, good to have a number pad if you ever have to do any data entry.
Bad points:
Sound is a little tinny but what do you expect with a laptop?

Comes loaded with far far far too many of the manufacturer's programs. There were over 40 programs pre-loaded when I received the laptop, and I have to spend about 3 hours removing them. These do not improve user experience and significantly reduce performance - I do not want 5 programs running all the time just to check if there is an update for another 5 "user experience" or "information collection" programs that I don't want. It is a waste of RAM and HDD space, and it makes the computer noisier.

Score 4.0/10
Good points:
The display is superb
Bad points:
The internal mouse pad on the laptop is TERRIBLE, it's so figiity and sensitive and tends to minimise a document you are working on far too easily. Its so bas that i now use an extranal mouse to avoid the problems.

Score 8.0/10
Good points:
Good, fast machine with an impressive video card. I use it for image editing and gaming and it works very well for anything I have thrown at it so far.

The manufacturer software is surprisingly good. I usually uninstall all manufacturer and trial/demo/time-limited software as my first task when getting a new machine, but I have been surprised and kept a few this time. They actually work and improve the functionality - a rarity these days.
Bad points:
Please note - these are the ONLY things I can think of as "faults". Everything else works pretty spot on.

- Screen is not the best in the world. It's good enough, but you only need to be slightly off angle (both vertical and horizontal) to have problems. My old laptop had a far superior screen.
- Keyboard is hard to see if working in low-lit conditions. Works fine in office lighting, but not so well on a train or similar. Not a problem if you know the keyboard layout by heart, but as usual with laptops some keys are place with space optimisation in mind (so, not where you would expect them to be).
- There is not hatch to lock the screen in closed position. Seems to close and stay closed ok, but I wouldn't trust it too much. Screen would thus be vulnerable if in a backpack or similar.
