Score 6.0/10
Good points:
CPU & graphics performance excellent, scores highly with Windows 7 performance indicator. Screen very bright and clear. This product was purchased as as a desktop replacement so full size keyboard and screen good for intensive use. Useful Toshiba utility software included. 802.11n wireless a plus.
Bad points:
Overall performance let down by 5400rpm disk, the only slow element of the system. This drags the overall Windows 7 index down. Build quality of keyboard (sagging) and case (sharp edges) a little disappointing. More like Ford plastic than VAG/BMW. 60Hz screen refresh not very ergonomic if you are sensitive to these things.

Michael, London Business user

Score 8.0/10
Good points:
An exceptionally powerful and well specified machine at this price. Battery life is a little limited, but given that this is not a laptop aimed at those working on the move - it is frankly too big for that - it is not too great an issue, as an alternative to a desktop it is more than adequate. When you consider that the technical specs are effectively the same as the new 17" MacBook Pro, but for over a thousand pounds less, it is an extremely good buy. The Mac brigade will no doubt chime in with comments to the effect that it is not as "lovely" as a MacBook, nor as well engineered, all of which is absolutely true. But, I am using it to run various bits of software that work the same way on either platform. For me, this is a tool which I will no doubt replace in about three years, so how important is it that it isn't as well engineered? Answer, with the three year warranty I have, it isn't important at all.
In short, if you are looking for a very well specified laptop as a business tool to replace a desktop, look no further.
Bad points:
The case is rather flimsy and plasticky. I suspect that it is actually quite resilient, but a lifestyle accessory this is not. Other than that, it is difficult to fault.

Good points:
The build quality is good, and it feels solid.
Bad points:
If you are right handed the charging cable and the two USB ports are in the way of your mouse. These should be on the back of the machine.

Score 8.0/10
Good points:
Smart design and good full keyboard. The Intel i5 processer produces fast working and the clear screen is sharp and gives supurb colour rendition . Also for a 17 inch screen it is lighter than you might expect and makes a good desktop replacement
Bad points:
Battery life is poor and would not be suitable for taking out of the office without the ability to plug into mains power
