Score 5.0/10
Good points:
Very good general layout and basic peformance, nice clear screen. Good wireless sensitivity.
Bad points:
No software discs, loads of spam / junk programs pre loaded. Very poor graphics performance considering this is an 8Gig ram machine, my old 2 Gig ram Toshiba does better surprisingly.

Good points:
A very powerful and capable laptop at a reasonable price and supplied with some very innovative software (toshiba reel time and bulletin board)
Bad points:
Don't like the room in function of the track pad as it sometimes activates when i don't intend it to.

Good build quality, great screen. Remains cool even after a long time on your lap, and the performance is really good.
Bad points:
A bit pricey, and I really don't like the wood effect

Score 9.0/10
Good points:
*Incredibly* fast with i7 processor and 8GB of DDR3 PC10700 Ram, lovely to use keyboard - sturdy design.
Nvidia GT540M (2GB) automatically switches in when required, no long drawn out adjustments to make.
Simple to use but configured for high end application performance without any fuss for the user.
Bad points:
Initially I found it hard to find a NEW one of these without scratches UNDERNEATH the protective plastic on the screen edge so DO inspect yours under bright light!
It's 5400 RPM 750GB Drive isn't really up there with the rest of the components-so booting isn't lightning fast(10 seconds longer than 7200 RPM)
If only keyboard were backlit!
Face recognition is forever getting it wrong and can become irritating

Kamil, London Music, gaming or video fan

Score 8.0/10
Good points:
Very fast, while at the same time maintaining excellent value for money. Comparable laptops from other brands can be much more expensive. A lot of additional gadgets: bluetooth, Wi-Fi, a microphone and a webcam... The Blu-Ray reader is a rarity this laptop has, along with the standard DVD/CD reader, writer and re-writer. Very good hard disc drive capacity. The pre-installed anti-virus and Microsoft Office package are good points, however due to their limited capability I've decided to purchase the full versions of both of those separately.
Bad points:
The battery. It's supposed to be able to work for up to 5 hours 30 minutes but from my experience, when not used for gaming 4 hours is a maximum and 3 hours is an average. While gaming it goes further. 5 h 30 mins are an achievement I've never been able to replicate. Also, when using the laptop for gaming it can get quite warm, although it's not something I've noticed when on the internet or when using it for anything else.

Darren, Melbourne Student

Score 9.0/10
Good points:
Pretty long battery life for general use (2-3hrs)
Surprisingly light considering its size
Eco mode (A little gimmicky though)
Good sound quality for laptop speakers (Better with headphones)
Good connectivity (4 USB ports etc.)
Large hard-drive (Slightly unnecessary with cheap externals available)
8GB RAM (Handles anti-virus software's drain on resources)
Responsive mouse pad
Webcam seems to have fairly good resolution
Bad points:
Small arrow keys (although not unusable)
(Very) Noisy fan
Spacebar is a little faulty (Probably a personal problem though)
Lots of Toshiba software pre-installed (A couple are useful)
Screen viewing angle is quite poor
Large power pack
Cheap feeling mouse buttons
Numeric pad is perhaps unnecessary (Personal opinion)
