Connected the laptop to a 32 inch HD TV and the graphics are amazing. My son installed some heavy duty games on the laptop and he says the performance is amazing - even better than his desktop/

Score 9.0/10
Good points:
Good styling. Well layout positive keyboard and numeric pad. All the required connecting points, cards reader, webcam. Very easy to start working with as soon as you open the package.
Bad points:
Loaded with unnecessary expensive programs like WinnZip, MacAffee antivirus, Microsoft Office, etc. which can be replaced by others doing the same job which can be obtained free.i.e.: Open Office, Microsoft anti-virus free program.
I have uninstalled most of the loaded programs and replace them for the free ones, and the laptop is working like a dream.

Score 8.0/10
Good points:
Having changed computers because the previous one was too slow this one seems amazing. From switching on to being online takes about 30 seconds. The display is great, the colours and sharpness wonderful. I haven't tried the face recognition function so cannot comment but the built in camera and microphone work perfectly in Skype without any adjustments necessary.
Bad points:
Small complaints would be the sound quality. I played my previous computer through a good pair of speakers but they don't seem to work with this one. The other niggle would be that there are only 2 USB ports but maybe more savvy computer users would not have a problem with this. If I have plugged in my printer and hard drive there is nowhere to plug in my camera. It is probably a little large to use as a true laptop but I don't so I benefit from the widescreen without having the drawback of having to carry it around.

John, London General home user

Score 3.0/10
Good points:
Still looking for them.
Bad points:
Pointer pad strangely variable in sensitivity adn lack of clear boundary makes it hard to keep within boundary while looking at screen. Hinge joints feel a bit flimsy. Sound is not a patch on previous Toshiba laptops I've had (three), both thorugh speakers and phones. Big USB problem that has caused no end of issues. Way too many 'helpful' automated bits - eco facility, Toshiba bulletin board etc. Add them to all the other automated devices thorugh Windows adn any software you have and the computer is far too busy doing its own thing to do what I want it to do. A Major disappointment after years of very happy Toshiba Satellite use.
