Good points:
I like this laptop very much. It perfoms well and is excellent value for money.
Bad points:
I am not very keen on the keyboard which is totally flat. I prefer a keyboard which has actual keys for each letter which you depress when you type a letter or number.

Score 10.0/10
Good points:
Battery life in the first 3 months has been terrific. A good 3.5 hrs of cad and photo editing. Less than stated but it may be lnger than 3.5 hrs.but I haven't really checked that often. It appears sturdy enough and with a bit of polish every week looks great. I work in the construction industry so the machine gets a steady supply of airbourne dust. My last Toshiba last over 9 years despite someone pulling it off a table and onto the floor. I hope this lasts as well.
Bad points:
Windows 7. Not a Toshiba issue I know, but it needs to be said. After years of XP, 7 will take a little getting used to. The only piont I would criticise Toshiba on is that the touch pad is not in the middle and strangely favours those who are left handed. When using the touch pad I often find my finger on a part of the frame that is not sensitive and then curse the "b....y" mouse. only to find that it's my finger failing to connect.
You should be able to pick this up for less than GB £400
