Score 9.0/10
Good points:
sleek design, good picture and sound, many features, typical Toshiba value for money.
Bad points:
Anybody new to this technology would probably struggle with the instructions and operation of the unit, Toshiba are not alone in needing to simplify this area for customers who are not conversant with these hi tec boxes.

Confirmed purchaser golden oldie

Score 10.0/10
Good points:
Absolutely thrilled with the recorder - I've not experienced HDD before, but have found it really useful for short term recording and then dubbing on to disc anything I want to keep. It also avoids the disappointment direct DVD recording can sometimes be if there is anything slightly wrong with the disc.
My last DVD recorder was a Toshiba - so I found it easy to use - you just have to make sure you read the instructions FULLY before each "new" application
