Good points:
Excellent gaming machine. Perfect 3D playback. Toshiba provide scope for upgrades.
Bad points:
Its weighty but it is a big machine after all. Cannot play 3D via TV as no sound comes through. Checked every manufacturer available at the local store. Nothing worked. Even had tech buffs come out and try.

Excellent graphics, Runs nice and cool, Can't fault it on speed. I have tried the 3D which is excellent. Also the 2D to 3D is a nice touch. Best computer I've had to date Not a heavy gamer but the ones I have played the computer have handled very well. Customer support is excellent.

Good points:
Absolute beast. Everything (apart from what features in my 'bad points') is of the highest quality, offers exceptional performance, and has lived up to my expectations.

As for battery life, this has surpassed my expectations. I don't agree with other reviews which say the battery is appalling. You're not buying a netbook, you're buying a power-hungry resource-hogging mammoth, and bearing that in mind, the battery life is commendable.

Having owned a previous Toshiba Qosmio laptops over the past 5 years, I can't see myself wanting to choose any other laptop than a Qosmio. A desktop replacement, with good looks, a good price, and features aplenty, this laptop will not fail to impress you.
Bad points:
I thought the volume might have been louder, the sound quality is still superb though. I wish the volume control was a manual button/control/wheel, as going from high to low volume takes a long time and many presses of the 'minus' hot key. Also, there is a very loud bleep for each press of the volume + or - hot keys, which attracts attention and can be embarrassing.

The touch pad is hopeless. Very poor design, it's rough and tacky. Not tacky as in low quality, tacky as in your fingers don't glide over it as easily as they should, they grip to the rough surface. You would have thought it was an obvious feature for a touchpad to be smooth, but obviously not. The scroll feature (slide finger up and down or side-side at the edge of the touchpad to scroll) is pretty much unusable also, because it will often scroll too fast, and in increments of more than one screen's worth of content each time.

The most irritating feature for me is that if you close the lid, (and have standby on lid-close turned off) and you go to re-open the lid to carry on where you were, you have to wait an unacceptable amount of time for the screen to turn back on. Over 2 seconds (almost 3) it takes from the lid being re-opened, to the screen coming on- I'm inclined to say (and hoping) that perhaps this could be addressed by a software update in the future, but it really should have been ironed out before being brought to the market. It sounds like I'm being fussy, but it is extremely irritating.

And for all of these faults...I still absolutely love this laptop, and would recommend it to everybody. It's not perfect, but it's pretty close.
