Score 6.0/10
Good points:
Well built, powerful, video excellent, sound excellent.
Windows 7
Bad points:
Very slow start-up.
Gloss finish spoilt by fingerprints (prefer finish of Satellite P100)
Due to the width of the machine, having ports (usb, mains, ethernet, etc) on side takes up more space and spoils look - would prefer everything to plug into back of machine.

Score 9.0/10
Good points:
A well designed, powerfull laptop able to cope with demanding, high-end software. It looks bueatiful and has so many features. I like the media control keys and the full size keyboard. The screen is huge and crisp and the io ports are plentiful and easy to access (no more searching round the back to find a usb port). Just a great piece of kit.
Bad points:
Very heavy and a little large. It could do with coming with the slimline remote, which would be an aid to presentations but this is only a niggle and not really a bad point. I can be a bit too easy, sometimes, to accidentally hit the media control keys.

Confirmed purchaser Business user

Score 9.0/10
Good points:
Very powerful indeed - truly a mobile workstation. Able to use full software (e.g. video or audio editing) mobile without compromise. Loads of disk space. Excellent facilities - everything you could need. Reliable. Appearance is a matter of taste (I prefer understated) but it gets noticed.
Bad points:
Had to upgrade windows immediately - home software not suitable for business needs.
Had lots of problems initially (until BIOS updated). Took days to delete loads of pre-installed rubbish almost all of which was useless, bloated and a waste of time. Similarly had to unsubscribe from lots of advertising toolbars etc.
Design needs to have more appeal than just to gamers - this is a machine to run powerful graphics and video software- not just games.
