Good points:
Good responsive laptop with quick start up. Clear display
Bad points:
Too much preloaded software which has taken up a large amount of the 128GB hard drive. Either increase the size of the SSD or eliminate some unecessary software.

Score 10.0/10
Good points:
1. Very powerful, very light. I am a software developer and game development lecturer and I specifically picked this machine for portability but also powerful enough to do graphics programming (in Processing & openframeworks).

2. Although it doesn't have an NVidia or ATI GPU, the new embedded Intel card is a big improvement on the older Intel horrors. The video performance is fine for most current games (up to, say, Portal 2) but maybe not for Skyrim and that gen of games.

3. For all other appslications, it absolutely flies. Everything is fast, smooth and the battery lasts for ages. I flew from Ireland to New York and watched films the whole way - almost 6 hours of battery and I had enough battery to browse the web while I waited for a connecting flight.

4. The screen seems small at first if you are used to huge monitors but I'm fine with it now. I can't fault anything about this laptop in terms of design, materials or use.

5. USB 3.0 is great, the HDMI out works flawlessly, the range of connectivity options is stunning. Matt screen is big improvement on glossy.

tldr; This is the best laptop I've ever owned or used. I wouldn't go back to a Macbook now. Very powerful and light. If you can afford it, this is the one to get.
Bad points:
1. Cost. This is a very expensive laptop. I couldn't have afforded it only for I had a generous equipment budget grant and I needed powerful Windows 7 laptop instead of a MacBook Air. Do not consider this if you are on a budget.

2. Bloatware. I know the drill, wipe the crap off a new laptop before using it; but seriously Toshiba, there is SO MUCH CRAP on this laptop that I was hours clicking uninstall. Most of the software is crappy nagware, and free, better performing alternatives exist. Please cut it out. I left the specialist drivers for the fingerprint scanner on, everything else went and it is super now. I shouldn't have to do this however.

3. It would be nice to have a backlit keyboard because I got used to one on my last laptop, but this is a tiny gripe, and not really a 'bad point'. Maybe a slightly higher resolution from the max of 1366 to 768 but again, a minor point. Finally, this laptop is not as 'sexy' looking as a Macbook, but it's fine as looks go. This is a bad point to some people, but I'm using my laptop for work, not posing in coffee shops as I work on my 'novel' :)

Bad points:
I've given it lower marks for the size and weight because I've come from an R500 which I think is a perfect size.
