Good points:
Great design
Bad points:
A seemingly well known touchpad issue causes it to become unusable for periods of time. Add to this Toshiba's appalling customer service and unfortunately it's a no go

Good points:
I love the fact that this can be turned into a tablet. The speed is good and it has good spec for the price. The build seems sturdy too.
Bad points:
The track pad is faulty and it has been at the Toshiba repair centre for weeks. This seems to be a known fault with this laptop. Also, because of the high screen resolution certain programmes show up with very small text and I haven't managed to find a fix for it yet it seems the software hasn't caught up with the high resolution screen!

Good points:
If I were to design from scratch my perfect portable computer, this would be it!
Size & weight are pitched perfectly between serious office usability and convenient travel portability.

The touch screen is more useful than you might at first imagine. The act of simply scrolling the screen, for example is not as easy with a mouse (or the awful Toshiba touchpad) - than simply swiping the screen with a finger.

The ability to "fold" the laptop inside out to create a Tablet style device, is also very handy for informal web browsing, etc.

The Core i7 processor makes most tasks slick, fast and trouble-free. I have performed some basic movie editing, photo editing, database design and testing - all free of any noticeable delays or lag.

When set to Airplane mode, battery life is impressive, allowing me to continue working on various office projects whilst on long-haul flights without need to connect a charger.

Finally, the design / style of the aluminium body shell gives the Toshiba a classy-but-rugged feel.

All future laptops should follow this example!
Bad points:
The Radius P20W only has one flaw, but unfortunately it's a big one!
After about an hours use, the touchpad stops responding! So trying to move the mouse becomes totally hit / miss and results in huge frustration.
Re-starting the device sometimes gives another few minutes of glitch-free use.

Sadly Toshiba have totally ignored this issue, and according to some blogs, PCW simply advise updating the driver. (I have not personally contacted them, so, in fairness to PCW, this may not be the norm).

The problem, however, is hardware related, and is caused by the incorrect bonding of an earthing strap between the touchpad and chassis. If one applies a copper conducting tape in place of Toshiba's botched strap - the touchpad works perfectly.
Shame on Toshiba for not rectifying this issue for its customers.

Kashif, Often on the move

Score 4.0/10
Good points:
The design is nice and I like the screen.
Bad points:
The battery life was advertised as up to 9 hours. Impossible to achieve anything close. I get less than 4 with battery saver, low brightness etc. The track pad causes the PC to freeze for a minute or so for no reason (tends to be ok when you use a mouse). Toshiba utilities seem to be mostly bloatware and slow everything down.

Score 8.0/10
Good points:
Very fast, perfect size for mobile working. Feels solid and well build. Good keyboard.
Bad points:
Battery doesn't last as long as you'd expect. The fan is very noisy. Took my first one back to the store as it overheated 2 days after I purchased. Replacement has been fine - except the trackpad had intermittent issues. Sometimes it becomes non-responsive. I personally don't mind as I usually use an external mouse, but I can imagine this is a design flaw.
