Good points:
quite fast and excellent for word processing and internet surfing.the key board design is particularly nice.
Bad points:
the casing was not perfectly closed after the refurbishment thus leaaving a small gaping space on the side of the casing.a blemish on an otherwise beautiful laptop.

it hangs and fail to respond sometimes and i often have to shut down and restart.why?

Confirmed purchaser MARRIED MUM OF 4

Score 9.0/10
Good points:
DECENT BASIC LAPTOP SUITS ALL THE FAMILY FOR GENERAL SURFING ETC. MODERN DESIGN WITH LATEST VERSION OF WINDOWS INSTALLED AND A GOOD SIZED SCREEN - IF YOU ARE WANTING PORTABILITY THIS MODEL IS QUITE LARGE AND HEAVY BUT IS A GREAT SPACE-SAVING ALTERNATIVE TO A DESK-TOP AND IT IS EXACTLY WHAT I WAS LOOKING FOR. I AM HAPPY WITH MY PURCHASE.
Bad points:
THE ONLY THINGS I WOULD FAULT THIS MODEL ON ARE THE BATTERY ONLY LASTS ABOUT 30 MINS WHEN FULLY CHARGED AND THE SOUND IS REALLY WHISPER QUIET SO ITS NOT TOO GOOD IF YOU WANT TO LISTEN TO MUSIC OR WATCH A MOVIE TRAILER. ITS STILL GOOD VALUE THOUGH - MY MOTHER HAS A BRAND NEW MID-RANGE ACER AND SAYS THE SAME ABOUT THAT!

mark, london icey dread purple

Score 9.0/10
Good points:
does what I need it to do really well (music at 128kBps, college notes/text/documents, surfing internet wirelessly and emails). vista premium is a nice intuitive o/s. downloaded open office, made it virtually perfect as a portable alternative to my 3 yr old desktop
Bad points:
really poor battery life (my son was using the laptop in the car recently, playing a few flash based games and it lasted just over an hour on full charge, powersave mode). hard drive memory seems to be too small for much significant data storage. can easily envisage replacing it after a year.
