Score 8.0/10
Good points:
It's a hard drive, it works. Aesthetically, fits in with my general setup (blue/black) very nicely, but also subtle; being able to keep it on it's side is fantastic, sits on top of my PC with complete stability.
USB 3.0 is really a minimum these days, but still a plus point. Even on USB 2.0 plugs I'm getting very nice read/write speeds.
Bad points:
Windows can only see 1.67TB. That's not bad, and "upselling" disc amounts is annoyingly standard practice but I still think it's wrong. I shouldn't have to pay for 2TB to assure 1.5TB...
Also, minor quibble, but the software and bundled "extras" that come on the drive aren't great, especially the backup program. There are better, free alternatives (I use a combination of Windows inbuilt "Robocopy" via RoboMirror and Macrium Reflect) and I formatted the drive anyway, but still, not brilliant to receive adware on an external hard drive.
