Good points:
It upscales the picture so the image whilst watching normal sky in my room looks almost identical to the sky hd in the livingroom, the USB port accepts large USB data sticks (I'm currently using a 16gb one) regza link is a cool feature where it knows when you have a bluray player linked to it, so even though I have a Sony player when I turn the tv off it turns the player off too.
Bad points:
Only small things but bad points nontheless. Firstly Although it says that it plays .divx files off the USB it doesn't seem to recognise them all of the time and it just freezes. Secondly you can't change the brightness of the 'toshiba' logo so when you turn the brightness down on the tv, the logo distracts from the picture because it's so bright!

Good points:
Toshiba really did a good job by improving the processing engine to 100Hz, Image quality is incredible. I am a movie lover and not actually use TV much for gaming therefore pixel details while watching movie is really important for me and this TV really did well. Menu and options are accessible and easy to understand. Tools supplied with the TV are sufficient to assemble. Swivel on the base is good to do fine viewing angle adjustments. Picture not pixelated at even smaller distances.
Bad points:
There is a manufacturing defect in some TV's of this model and I would suggest viewing on this TV using all possible inputs when you buy. I happen to check HDMI first and discovered that there was no sound and just creeking noise. It goes with the hit on volume button on remote but certainly would not expect defect when I am buying new and send for repair very next day of arrival.

Score 8.0/10
Good points:
Fantastic clarity to picture on standard definition freeview with no smearing or smudging on fast moving objects, very easy to assemble and set up right out of the box, pleasingly intuitive programme guide, menu structure, and well thought-out remote. Decent sound for a flatscreen TV, especially through headphones with headphones-specific setting. Can be turned off completely with "hard" off switch and doesn't have to remain in standby. Ideal size for a small room (my viewing position is about 7-8 feet away). I use it mostly for console gaming and it's ideal.
Bad points:
Frame around screen is quite chunky and made of highy reflective, shiny black plastic, so it catches any light in the room in a slightly distracting way. Simple solution - keep the lights low/off.

Lack of documentation and instructions for all the bells'n'whistles features, the media player, photo viewer and such like, but I guess these can be tracked down online if you are really determined to make use of them.

Good points:
Picture quality very good, looks well on the stand supplied
Bad points:
Thought it had a freeview hd tuner but unfortunately hasn't, so to receive hd channels an hd receiver is required

Manufacturer's Description

Product Information

A great choice for sports and movies, the Full HD Toshiba 32XV635DB uses Active Vision M100HD Pro for seamless motion in fast-paced scenes.

Clever Auto View technology is always working in the background to bring you a great picture. The ambient light sensor constantly adjusts the LCD’s backlight depending on the lighting condition in the room to provide a better viewing experience. In light rooms backlight is increased, in dark rooms backlight is dimmed.

You’ll also get the best from HD thanks to the 100Hz picture processing, which virtually eliminates motion blur often associated with fast-moving sports action with its 24 frames-per-second display – so you’re watching exactly what the director intended. Video games will also look superb thanks to a custom Game Mode.

Sound quality is also excellent thanks to Dolby Digital Plus. And have you ever noticed how the volume changes between different channels and adverts? Dolby Volume is the audio solution that monitors and controls the volume of different channels and advertising commercials, to keep a constant sound when the content you watch constantly changes.

The 32XV635DB also features a USB input, allowing you to playback MP3 and DivX files from external devices. There’s also an SD card slot which enables you to view photos on the big screen.

This television is ‘high definition ready’ which means it has the ability to display high definition signals with the addition of a separate HD receiver. HD broadcasts are at a much higher resolution than regular analogue or digital broadcasts and have greatly enhanced picture quality. The level of detail is astonishing with clearer, sharper and more vibrant images.

Full HD 1080p

1080p is the purest form of high definition that a television can display. This leads to a smoother, more film-like image, which will satisfy sports and movie lovers alike. With a 1080p signal, the information that makes up an image is displayed “progressively” or all at once, rather than in an “interlaced” fashion.
