Excellent screen, size is just right, not too big.
Touchscreen very responsive and easy to set up destination.
Do not miss lack of superfluous features found on previous models

Howard, Uxbridge Always use sat nav

Score 7.0/10
Good points:
Much easier to use that the previous generation of TomTom (I had a 1005 previously).
Bigger screen size
Maps for life saving on the annual map update subscription
Bad points:
I miss the hands free phone link of the 1005
Currently there is a problem across this range of TomTom with regards to the Live traffic, currently under a top priority investigation by TomTom, I was stuck on the M25 with no indication of any hold-ups when the entire western sector in both directions was at a standstill due to multiple problems, accidents breakdowns etc

Manufacturer's Description

Take the tension out of driving to unfamiliar locations and drive with the confidence of a local with the TomTom GO 6000 GPS Sat Nav.

No more traffic trouble
The GO 6000 uses advanced features that are designed to get you where you’re going in the fastest, most efficient way possible.

Enjoy constant traffic updates without the need to tether with your phone and never have to try to decipher roadside directions – the GO 6000 works hard to make sure your journey is easy.

In-ride help
Coming with TomTom Traffic service, you receive real-time information about any incidents along your chosen route, along with the details of any expected impact on your arrival time. By seamlessly offering alternative routes whilst still on the move, users can on average save up to 15% on journey times.

Information is sent to the device via an inbuilt SIM card which means the TomTom is always connected – you’ll know about any accidents or incidents as they happen and take action to avoid them.

A large 6” touchscreen provides easy to follow guidance in 3D and spoken directions are provided to make sure you don’t miss a crucial junction. With information for an amazing 45 European countries, road trips abroad are simple – no matter where you want to go on the continent, just let the GO 6000 know where you want to go and it’ll guide you there.

Reliable routes
IQ routes is a fantastic feature that allows you to navigate around an area as if you were a local. Drawing from anonymously collected data from thousands of users, TomTom have been able to work out which routes are better for certain times of day.

For example, a certain road may offer the shortest distance to your destination but with a large school being located along the way, traffic builds up at home time. IQ routes will know about this and automatically assign you a route that avoids the troublesome stretch of road.

Interactive Maps
Simply zoom in and out to find and explore places on the map with your fingertips. Tap on the map to get an instant route to your destination.

Finding fuel is easy
You can search a massive selection of points of interest to further augment your journey – find the location of the nearest petrol station, ATM or restaurant in seconds and adapt your route accordingly. There’s no need to aimlessly drive around in the hope of stumbling across what you need.

Coming with lifetime map updates, a 3-month free trial that updates you about speed cameras and a 1-year guarantee, the Tom Tom Go 6000 EU 45 GPS Sat Nav is an indispensible piece of kit that every driver should have in their arsenal.
