Score 8.0/10
Good points:
Amazing for the price.. I am impressed with the image quality of this lens considering the wide angle zoom range.
Bad points:
A small amount of vignetting, expected in this wide angle zoom range. Lens flare is major issue, definitely no to the shots including Sun.

Good points:
Great image quality and value for money. Useful zoom range and great at long end of zoom range. Low distortion. Hyperfocal focussing works best with this lens
Bad points:
Can be a little difficult to focus so need to double check or do test exposure. Otherwise no problems

Good points:
This is the first time I have purchased a non-Canon Lens and was very aware that wide angle lens quality was going to be a high risk, but I'm very impressed with this Tokina lens. It fully lives up to reviews I have read.
There are a lot of very expensive Canon lenses available second hand (often sold through lack of use) but still at prices far in excess of the Tokina brand new price.
Bad points:
The lens cap is very ackward to remove and replace with the lens hood fitted - but this is a small issue.

Peter , Harrow Good honest review

Score 9.0/10
Good points:
Superb build quality, silky smooth zoom and focus rings.
Lens hood included which is more than you can say about Canon.
Good sharp pictures at all zoom ranges [best in class]. Great landscape lens.
Excellent colour balance,
Bad points:
Fairly heavy but this is due to the quality materials being used. 77-mm filter thread, but only use the Digital Pro 1 which is a very slim filter, other wise some vignetting may be evident at 12-mm.

No IS, but this is hardly a bad point with a lense as wide as this, just keep your shutter speed above 125.
