Score 8.0/10
Good points:
All in one unit. Useful for transferring vinyl to CD for ease of storage. Do not expect Hi Fi performance, but capable of very adequate sound transfer to CD. It works well at what it does, which is to transcribe my large vinyl collection - which has a lot of older recordings - to CD, allowing easier access to much loved recordings. It is satisfying that it does not compress recordings to MP3, but that is easily done via computer should you require.
Bad points:
Qurky controls - you must read the instruction book carefully. It does need special CD's i.e.TDK CD-RW Audio CD Rewritable. Tip!! - Buy CD-RW and record on them, finalise and use computer and Roxio to transfer to ordinary CD, Wipe CD-RW clean and use again - much cheaper, although a bit fiddly.Could be improved by the option of a better quality PU and cartridge. Does transfer a lot of background noise if not carefully set up when recording. You must monitor the gaps between tracks and manually switch at the end of a track - automatic is pretty useless.
