Graham, St Neots

Score 6.0/10
Good points:
Small "footprint". Neat design. Clear connections on rear panel.
Bad points:
Front panel cannot be easily read when lower then eye level (i.e from my chair with the product on a standard height hifi table).

Operation of iPod is not intuitive - not too bad with remote control, very fiddly with front panel. In fact its easier to take the iPod off its docking station, select the track, start it, then relocate it on the docking station (suggest you try it!)

I had anticipated 2 x sets of speaker outputs, not 2 x speakers, so had to buy a speaker switch. Literature is a bit misleading.

Power output rather less than previous tuner/amp - not a problem for a small room, but I am over 50% volume setting most of the time, for normal listening.

Paul, Birmingham

Score 7.0/10
Good points:
The designs good and solid. The Ipod can be functioned with the remote in two different ways which is good one linking the Ipod to the stereo and enabling your to see tracks through the LCD display the other (clickwheel mode) enabling you to still operate the Ipod itself or use the remote, just without the track display on the stereo.
Bad points:
Output sound from the stereo is fine, but isn't that great through the TEAC speaker (if bought along with the purchase) so i'd recommend just buying it with another brand of speakers. It's a shame the Ipod dock connects to the front which gives a rater untidy appearance and there is no USB connection for other MP3 players (though you can still connect to the usual audio input connections). The final issue is that the CD skip buttons on the stereo are a little non responsive sometimes.
