Score 10.0/10
Good points:
Excellent product. Compact design enables lens to fit in smallish camera bag quite easily. Recent purchase but have had some very good results so far at West of Scotland coast line at Easdale , exposed to the Atlantic Ocean. Stunning.
Bad points:
Cannot think of any at the moment.

Feels a solid well made piece of kit. Simple and easy to use, image quality great for the price. Bought specifically to photograph the Northern Lights and it didn't disappoint, but I have used it for so much more.

neil, burton on trent enthusiast not an expert

Score 8.0/10
Good points:
The replacement lens seems well made and I've already managed to take some excellent photos so far (bearing in mind I'm no expert)

I understand the Canon 'equivalent' is around twice the cost but I suspect it isn't twice as good...
Bad points:
haven't had the second lens long enough to say, but the one I ordered online was faulty and caused the camera to lock out. This could easily have damaged the camera as far as I know so there is a definite issue around QC at Tamron there.

This was demonstrated at your Burton store on their equivalent Canon camera, the fault tone and lock down was just the same on theirs so it was necessary to exchange it there and then at the store.

I was quite disappointed with this quality issue, frankly.
