Bought for a family member and I was very impressed. Made the Kindle Fire HD look ridiculous over priced as it does everything it does and more.

Score 8.0/10
Good points:
The tablet is decent for an entry level device for people who don't want to drop a large amount of money onto a tablet, it works well for general browsing and the selection of apps is good due to it having access to Googles play store. Storage Options have also released 4.1 jelly bean firmware for the device.
Bad points:
The built in camera isn't centred so when you are using Skype to video call the image you send is off to the side... it's probably fine for most people but I prefer the cam to be in the centre of the device.

The 512MB of RAM is misleading as only 360MB of RAM is listed as being installed in the machine when you run various benchmark software and hardware utilities... Storage options say this is because the system needs memory to run which is fair enough, however even on a clean boot task manager often reports that only 140MB of memory is available to use to memory is definitely an issue with this device as loading times seem to be rather high for a machine with a 1.2GHz CPU.

The screen is low res and the dpi is very poor, for the money it's probably OK but for reading a lot of text it can be annoying. I wouldn't use this device as an e-book device due to this.

The battery drains very quickly when using game apps however it does support USB charging.

The Jelly Bean firmware update is a long complicated and cumbersome process that will probably mean that many non-technical people will not be able to understand and install the new firmware's.

Has no GPS, of 3G support you can't use it in your car as a sat nav. system... pretty disappointing but I guess this was to keep costs down.

Score 7.0/10
Good points:
Very good price- lightweight, more storage than I had anticipated without needing to add SD card. For the price, very reasonable. Easy to get started with, Android interface simple, easy to add apps etc as required.
Bad points:
Occasionally struggles with weak wifi signals and opening more than 3 apps or browser windows shows the lower processing power, but you get what you pay for..

Bryan,

Score 10.0/10
Good points:
I bought this for using mainly as an mp3 player, and it does that well. Put all my files on a Micro SD card and it recognises it ok. The keyboard works much better than I expected - no problem typing emails, and it found the wireless router ok. Screen very clear. I've seen moans about this, but can see no reason to complain. Internet use is good. I added Firefox, as I'm used to it.It has Android 4 installed, which works well. It comes with an AppsKiller, which is good for preserving the battery life. Very responsive screen. Well worth the money.
