Score 5.0/10
Good points:
Looks great - silver scheme is good and keyboard functions brilliantly.
Bad points:
Plasticky - for this money the build should be more robust and less flexible; the plastic gives in far too many places.
For a machine with a high spec it still takes a while to do some jobs - maybe Windows is the problem though.
Battery life I thought was good before I bought but in realistic terms the screen is too dull on power saver mode so it's just average at best.

Score 9.0/10
Good points:
Love the display and keyboard. The overall performance of the machine is excellent, this is quite noticable when you load windows 7 on it. Graphics are quick, renders hi res photos in a very short time. The screen image is sharp and clear, very comfortable on my ageing eyes. The mouse pad is eay to use, scrolling very responsive. Everything, programs, drivers and utilitys that I have loaded on it so far have worked without any problems. The docking station for this range is very good indeed, docking is simple as is live un-docking. The extra USB ports are a must.
The mode switch is really useful as is the quick launch buttons. WiFi performance is also good. HDMI port is truly handy for hi res displays or for just watching missed TV programs on iPlayer.
Bad points:
Battery life is poor, I am lucky to get 2 hours of normal use. The mouse pad is easily touched when typing resulting in the cursor disappearing heaven knows where, it needs some sort of "palm" barrier on the top edge. Only two onboard USB ports is a real limitation, most of us use more than two ports, after all one is taken up by a mouse. The quality of the onboard speakers are poor and the sound output is quite low, no good at all for listening to music and difficult for voice communications with any sort of background sound.
