Score 9.0/10
Good points:
Very neat and portable
Bad points:
Would like to have longer usage when on battery power as spare battery is very expensive. Also, would have expected at least the provision of a slip case in order to protect the ultra smart red top

Score 5.0/10
Good points:
It works, it is reasonably light and flexible, has 3 USB ports, has S-Video out and the option to play DVDs without starting Windows. The hard drive is a decent size as is the memory. Screen is up to the excellent Sony Standard.
Bad points:
Probably unfair to blame the PC, I would be more likely to blame Vista, if the option had been available I would have gone for XP. Given the spec (4Gb Ram) and 2.4 Ghz processor I expected it to be significantly faster than my last Vaio Laptop which had 1Gb RAm and a 1.8 processor. It is no faster. Many issues with Vista and its compatibility with such things as Microsoft Outlook, loses network settings, erases printer drivers all on its own etc etc. I am close to reformatting and installing XP. No Blue Ray drive.
