Score 10.0/10
Good points:
Mine is a good copy sharp even wide open and only gets slightly better being shutdown by one stop.
The best 70-300mm I have ever used that includes Canon- Nikon – Olympus –Sigma and Tamron.
It is a worthy “G” class lens.
Bad points:
Only the price, but you do have to pay for quality.

At time of purchase it was an absolute bargain compared to Sony prices. Also outstrips the standard (kit lens) equalivent. The "G" lens does have the edge.

Good points:
It's a Sony. That seems a pointless thing to say until you realise just how ignored Sony DSLR and lenses are by the mass market. A quality lens that is easy to use, not too heavy and looks good on the front of an Alpha 700. I've used it for a week now and the images have been consistently good across the range. The pack includes a nice, padded case as well.

Absolutely none
