Score 8.0/10
Good points:
Excellent picture on High Def - use the "VIVID" settings and tweak as necessary. I toned down the colour and contrast slightly on the VIVID setting and am delighted with the result. Standard Def pictures ok from a distance but not as good close up.

This is my first "large screen TV". 37 Inch a good size if you want a large screen but have an average sized livingroom - not all seats are usually far enough away for a 42 inch screen. The larger the scren the further away you need to be.

Sound is pretty good. In addition to digital audio out options, there's an analogue (phono plug ) audio out so you can connect to a hifi if you don't have home cinema surround sound set up (I don't).

Blu-ray / DVDs look fantastic. You get a real cinematic feel.

"Internet TV" is a good feature and allows for automatic updates but note this is not browser based.

Overall, very happy with the TV.
Bad points:
The Sony Internet TV dongle is pricey but works well for me. BBC iplayer and Channel 5 player are good but I had hoped ITV player and 4OD would have been included. Alas no, but hopefully they will be in future. Sony are apparently working on it, but no promises.

Motion blur is noticeable (but not catastrophic), particularly on standard def. Would benefit from 100Hz rather than 50Hz but this would increase the price tag.
