Fred, Wokingham Film and documentary lover

Score 7.0/10
Good points:
Dual tuners DVB-T & DVB-S give a lot of scope for running from a sat dish or a fixed aerial. USB socket great for showing your jpg photo's on a big screen. Freesat EPG is almost as good as Sky without the 800 channels you don't need. Picture quality is excellent provided you don't get too close. Plenty of input sockets, you will not run out even with old anologue connections.
Bad points:
Sound quality is ok on low volumns but there is an annoying speaker vibration once you turn it up above 30 per cent, might be better if fixed solidly to wall. Takes a while to start up from cold and Freesat EPG is not as intuative as Sky. Takes a while to get used to the remote, so don't be tempted to send the set back if it fails before you've pressed all the remote buttons....hint if you lost all channels try pressing the digital button.

Score 8.0/10
Good points:
Excellent picture quality, sound ok considering size of speakers
Bad points:
No paper manual.
No information on how to add internet sites eg love film, utube etc. (can it be done? Does it need a software update ?Will there be software updates?)
Not a bad point but irritating - using the program guide, select a program that is about to start, press ok - get reminder screen, press ok again, it says"Program about to start - cannot set reminder" - all very true but why cannot it just switch to the program (with or without a "Do you want to switch programs now" question).

Score 8.0/10
Good points:
Excellent TV. Strong reception quality so get most Freeview channels ahead of switch-over in late 2012, plus (the reason for buying) excellent Freesat reception and HD is fantastic.
Bad points:
Very minor comment only as this is a bedroom TV so not relevant if in a main room... Pity Sleep Time is within the full menu structure and not on the "shortcut" Options menu
