Score 9.0/10
Good points:
Great range of recording time. Easy to use and the software is great for typing up the recordings as you can slow the playback down to your typing speed!
Battery life is down to the choice of batteries you install. I use Duracell's MP3/Ultras and have had the current set in for about 2 months now! (recorded about 3 hours in that time)
Bad points:
I haven't found any yet with this device. had it now for over 2 years. I keep looking though!

Good points:
Really good sound quality - sounds like the person is in the room with you
Bad points:
There doesnt seem to be a way of stopping and starting the recording during transcription withoutflicking between screens, which is a little irritating and time consuming.

Score 9.0/10
Good points:
This is a great little unit. It's light and easy to handle. I find it easy to use and compared to an Olympus model I had, the recording quality is excellent. The software which came with it seems very comprehensive and I've downloaded recordings onto my PC, but I haven't burnt to disk as yet.
Bad points:
The only negative comment I really have is that the unit doesn't have an 'off' button, which is annoying. If you use it a lot that probably wouldn't matter, but I don't and it's irritating to see the battery power diminishing without using it. However, I've gotten round it by breaking the current with a plastic strip and then when I need to use the unit, I have to input dates, time etc.
