Score 8.0/10
Good points:
Overall sound is impressive
Bad points:
Bar is too tall for standard Sony TV stand and conceals the bottom of the LED screen. Have had to raise the TV off the cabinet top via an extra wooden shelf

Some voices have a higher 'boom' sound which is not completely realistic

Score 8.0/10
Good points:
Easy to set up. Good quality sound. Maybe to good for my small flat!
Bad points:
Would be better if it came with HDMI cable rather than optical cable as I think this might automatically turn it on when the TV is turned on. Bit of a pain to turn on separately although the supplied remote does have buttons to turn both on. Minor issue.

OK, so it’s not the biggest apartment ‐ but that’s the price you pay for living in the centre of town. And the money you save on commuting can now be spent on something much more important: a home cinema sound system.

As a serious movie buff, you’ve been promising yourself one for a while ‐ but a full‐blown 5.1 channel surround sound system might be overkill in your bijou living room. The compact HT‐CT260, on the other hand, fits right in. The sound bar sits neatly in front of your TV and you can position the wireless subwoofer anywhere you like.

And while the system itself may not be big, the sound it produces definitely is. With powerful 300W output and cinematic virtual surround sound, everything has more impact ‐ from explosions to sweeping orchestral scores. Even watching movies you’ve seen a hundred times becomes a whole new experience.

What’s more, the HT‐CT260 has built‐in BluetoothR ‐ so you can easily stream music from smartphones, tablets and other devices. It’s a real asset when all your friends pile back to your place after a night out. Which, due to your flat’s central location, seems to happen rather a lot.
