Score 7.0/10
Good points:
Excellent picture quality. Variety of settings for full HD recording, not all of which are compatible with iMovies (see Mac website).
The projector is practical and more than just a gimmick.
Price has dropped in last month or so.
Smile still photo function useful and 7MP quality good, flash adequate for general purposes only.
Bad points:
The camcorder went faulty within 3 months with an error message on screen.
Expensive 0844 prefix helpline- non UK based and took ages to work through fault diagnosis. Outcome is the device being sent off (today) to Wales for repair. Freepost and insured a positive though.
Cannot save from SD card onto the hard drive.
User manual not easy to read due to poor grammar.
Navigation using on screen menus a bit cumbersome and time consuming.
Buy a bigger capacity battery as supplied item not up to the task.

Andrew, Studley Keen amateur

Score 10.0/10
Good points:
The best little camera I have ever owned. Totally intuative to use and picture quality is excellent, shooting in full HD (1920x1080), the lens is the very good quality"G" type and focuses quickly, matched to an "Exmor R" CMOS sensor, so good in low light, the sound quality is also very good recording in 5:1 surround. I was amazed just how small this camera is and it still manages to pack in some great features, the menu is easy to navigate and has just enough adjustments to enable you to carry out a little tweeking, without over complicating things. Believe it or not but the projector that is built into the flip out screen actually works extremely well, ok not in broad daylight, but in a darkened room the projected playback is clear and well defined, with a little bit of focus adjustment you can display an image just over 6 foot accross. Great for instant playback of the kids, or that moment you just caught, no more crowding around the viewfinder. It has too many features for me to list here so I would recommend trying one out at your local shop, it will not disappoint.

Almost forgot - it has 32GB of built in memory, so charge it up and go.....

Good points:
Simple set up and easy to use. Like the fact you can take stills as well as recordings. Quality is really good so no need to take seperate camera. Its small and neat easy enough to carry in bag.
Bad points:
Purchased couple weeks before holiday so not really had time to discover any - if there are any! Just got back so next move is to transfer from camcorder to laptop so unable to comment on the next stage!
