Good points:
For me the end result is what ultimately matters and the image quality is superb. Though a zoom lens sharpness is better than expected and colour saturation is amazing. Thanks to the balance of the camcorder body the zoom lens does not make it feel awkward or heavy to use. Using it away from a tripod the camcorder/zoom lens combination gives a good feel to the unit.
Bad points:
No major criticism. Perhaps provision for an xlr terminal could have been provided but that`s a niggling point at this price.

Good points:
Image quality is excellent as is build quality. The photo side of the system is also extremely well impemented.
Bad points:
Desparately need a Sony Branded small snug fitting case for it. I have the Sony system case but this is too big to carry arround.

Good points:
Perfect for those who want to take brilliant pictures AND film, with the same camera (Like me, I don't want to carry around with 2 cameras)

It's a nice start-out camera, before going totally professional, however you really learn to use a camera in full manual, and the most necessary controls are fast to change, and others are easy to find in menu system.

But it's a small camera compared to its performance, and it's definately worth the money to buy the NEX-VG20 compared to the VG10, there are big improvements.

The built-in microphone is very good. Sometimes I don't even want to plug my external microphone in because the built-in is about as good .
Bad points:
With the stock 18-200mm lens, it's not superb in low light, but for a low cost you can buy the NEX lens with F-stop 1.8, which is the low-light lens I want to buy (it's the 50mm lens)

With my camera, hopefully not all? The manual white balance stop working after some hours in use, that's quite frustrating.
