The Sony CMT-HX5BT is a Bluetooth-capable Mini Hi-Fi system. With an AM/FM tuner, CD player, and USB and auxiliary ports, the HX5BT is capable of handling a very wide range of sources. This is a Hi-Fi player and has an inbuilt front-loading CD tray, AM/FM antennas, a USB and auxiliary port on the front, and Bluetooth connectivity. Bluetooth-enabled Sony-Ericsson phones or MP3 players can be used to play music through the system, as can PCs with Bluetooth connectivity. The auxiliary port provides a physical connection for MP3 players and PCs without Bluetooth as well. The main body of the player measures at 286 × 115 × 200mm.The speakers each measure 145 × 300 × 200mm and it weighs a total of 5.3 kgs.
The Sony CMT-HX5BT has built in support for USB playback and supports formats such as ATRAC, MP3, WMA and ACC. Its Bluetooth is ver 2.0 and supports A2DP Stereo Audio Streaming and comes with S-Master Digital Amplifier, and has a 2 Way Bass reflex speaker system (10cm Woofer + 2.5cm Tweeter) for audio playback. It’s preprogrammed with Shuffle, Program and a Repeat Mode and comes with an AM/FM Tuner with 30 Presets. It also has a built in timer with wake up and sleep functions. The bass boosting function is equipped with DSGX and gives both bass and treble control. Included in the box is a Remote Control unit model number RM-SCU35, 2 AA Manganese Battery, an AM Roop Antenna, a FM Lead Antenna and 8 Speaker Pads. It comes with a 2 Way Tweeter measuring at 2.5cm and has a Soft Dome. The Woofer measure at 10cm x 2 also comes with a Detachable Speaker Grill. It has a maximum Sound Pressure Level of 87dB/w/m and a Rated Impedance of about 4 Ohms. The Speaker Cable Length is at 1.5 meters.
