Score 9.0/10
Good points:
-Very easy to use (Handbook explains all. features and how to take different types of photos)
-Great to have a telephoto lens
-Picture quality is nice
Bad points:
-Built in flash has no versatility, will need to buy a separate lens if you're going to be using it often. Flash is also very bright, subjects tend to blink because of it.

Score 8.0/10
Good points:
very pleased with my buy the camera weighs very little as you always end up carrying it the weight is a factor simple to set up only takes a few seconds to change and toggle between shots very compact unlike a 35mm slr which is big and bulky.
Bad points:
only one bad point and that is the optical screen on the back where you review your photo after taking it and you cannot see the photo on the screen before taking the photo therefore with hind sight I would have purchased the 350y which has a preview set up where you can view the shot before taking the photo.

Digital Cameras Buyers' Guide

Manufacturer's Description

So light, so compact, so simple to use

Even first-time DSLR users can experience superb image quality plus generous creative features. Compact, easy to carry and comfortable to hold, it’s also wonderfully simple to use.

Say no to camera shake
Keep things crisp and even. SteadyShot INSIDE reduces camera shake when you’re shooting handheld. It’s great for atmospheric, low-light scenes without flash as well as high-zoom shots when you haven’t got a tripod handy. And it works with all your α lens collection, too.

Beautiful images, razor-sharp responses
The BIONZ processor inside your α camera is the key to its lightning-fast shooting responses. This powerful processing engine handles large amounts of digital information from the camera’s sensor, delivering beautiful, low noise images, frame after frame.

Quality that won’t weigh you down
Who wants to be weighed down by their DSLR? Small, light and comfortable to hold, there’s less to carry on days out, weekends away or longer trips abroad. Now there’s no excuse for leaving your camera at home.

Great results made beautifully simple
Never used a DSLR camera before? Don’t worry – help is at hand. There’s an on-screen help guide, plus a choice of Scene Selection modes to suit any subject. You’ll get amazing results without having to worry about fiddly settings.

Control the show in comfort
Connect the camera to your BRAVIA television – then effortlessly control playback functions with your BRAVIA TV’s remote. There’s no need to get up from your favourite chair to enjoy the show in sparkling HD.
