Good points:
"Real" camera feel. Versatile, with brilliant quality output. Auto settings work well with quick reaction times and continuous shooting..
Bad points:
Noisy shutter - but what do I expect from a movable mirror?

Score 9.0/10
Good points:
Very easy to use camera - can pick up and use straight away.
Good for a beginner to DSLRs and high megapixel resolution (14.2).
Shooting modes can be easily customised and this is shown graphically on the screen.
Quite light and easy to disassemble.
Good stable grip area.
Cheap for an entry-level DSLR.
Option to shoot in JPEG, RAW or both and includes RAW conversion software (although I do not use this).
Bad points:
Supplied lens should be 18-70mm instead of 18-55mm.
The plastic shell of the camera has a poor appearance on closer inspection - colleague described it as droplets of wax sprayed all over the camera.
Lens cap should have string attachment to camera body.
Relatively old camera - does not have Live View.
