SimCity (2013) reviews
Also known as: SimCity
You can take control of your very own city and watch as your actions influence the world in SimCity, the latest offering in the Sim franchise from developers, Maxis.
Creating a city? It’s Sim-ple!
Create your own city in this addictive game which puts you in charge, leaving you to make the important decisions about what your people need. Your choices will affect your city and the Sims living in it, for better or for worse. They will speak to you directly, and it is down to you to use your power to respond to their needs.
Watch as your city takes on unique characteristics, with its own look and feel. It will be left to you to strike a balance too; will you have a wealthy industrial city that’s bad news for the environment, or will you go green and risk out-of-work Sims? It’s all up to you.
Using the new Glassbox engine, SimCity not only lets you witness your effects on your city, but simulates individual Sim’s lives, and even balances multiple simulations at once for a truly engaging game.
With a multiplayer mode that allows you to overcome challenges, you’ll see how your actions affect not only your city, but are felt worldwide. It is up to you whether you compete or collaborate. Which disasters will you be made to overcome in this game – tornadoes, earthquakes, or even a UFO attack?
Whether you built a core industrial city or a sprawling urban metropolis, fun is guaranteed in SimCity from Electronic Arts.
