Good points:
Seems reasonably well built, but not as well built as the Sigma lens I have.
Bad points:
I am pairing this with the Sigma 150mm macro, which means there is no autofocus. Image quality is appalling. Very very soft images, no matter how fast the ISO, whatever the f stop, with or without a tripod, and with or without OS. It's actually better to take a picture at 150mm without the teleconverter and crop it to get the equivalent of 300mm. Using this teleconverter actually virtually destroys what is otherwise a brilliant (but heavy) lens.

Light. well built. quickly supplied and comes with a carrying bag.
It was great to find a lens that did not cost the earth to buy.
Bad points:
Not being a Canon lens it will only fit my 200mm - 400mm Tamron.

Score 9.0/10
Good points:
this teleconverter is perfect with a sigma 70-200 DG excelent value for money! You will get extremely sharp images if you get few steps forward closer to lock on your subject that is distant let's say 30 meters... On other shots the quality is good for what you pay for; actually extremely good for what you pay for. Think of it as a gadget not as a first class lens; for that you need to add £3,000 instead of £170

Kevin, Keen Amateur Phtographer

Score 9.0/10
Good points:
Very good image contrast and quality when used with Sigma lenses.
I have only used it with 70-200mm f 2.8 EX OS Sigma lens. The 2 stops sacrifice that comes with all X2 converters makes the lens f 5.6 effectivly. So the Auto focus still works fine.

So double the f stop number of your lens to see if Auto focus will still work as a check.

Bad points:
None - from my use with above lens.

I understand if used with a lens with higher f numbers the auto focus does not work. This is the camera's fault not the converter. Most cameras auto focus need lenses to have a maximum aperture of at least f5.6 to work properly.
