Switch's are a little stiff but I suppose that's because the lens is new and they will become less so over time.

Manufacturer's Description

Sigma 105mm f2.8 OS EX DG Macro Lens
This true macro lens gives you 1:1 magnification without being too close to your subject thus introducing shadows. It’s also better than shorter focal length lenses for wildlife imaging in so much as that you disturb your subject less. Ideal for shallower depth of field images, this lens is top “EX” quality, both in its construction an its technology, with its floating inner focus design.

Optical Stabilisation
This lens gives the equivalent of 4 extra stops in aperture, allowing you to continue shooting in much dimmer conditions.

Top Optical Components
This 105mm EX lens uses SLD (Super Low Dispersion) Glass to correct chromatic aberration, spherical aberration and field curvature, thus producing sharp images with faithful colours and flatness of field. The Super Multi Layer Coating ensures that internal reflections are reduced considerably and your images retain excellent contrast. A Floating Inner Focus design is employed for consistency of image quality throughout the zoom range. In addition the use of optional APO converters gives you a bigger than 1:1 magnification ratio for highly magnified closeup work.

Additional Features
HSM (Hyper Sonic Motor) with Full Time Manual Focus override – ultra fast and quiet internal focusing and manual control within a slip second should you require it.
9 Blade Rounded Aperture for smoothly reproduced out-of-focus areas
Compatible with Sigma APO Teleconverters
APS-C Hood Adapter Supplied for optimum flare correction
