Also known as: Siemens -Fridge Freezer Buyers Guide
The Siemens KG36NAW22G with a larger 223 litre fridge is ideal if you buy a lot of fresh food, but you still get a decent 66 litre freezer for all your frozen food. It has a simple white finish, but a really cool digital display that gives you control over a load of nifty features.
It comes with twin evaporators – rather than controlling both the fridge and freezer with 1 dial, you can independently change the setting of each with the digital display. It will stop any humidity transferring between the 2 sections, so fresh food will stay perfectly chilled, and your freezer food perfectly frozen.
With NoFrost technology, you won’t see any ice building up because a fan inside is constantly circulating the cold air. It stops ice from settling, and means you won’t ever have to defrost. In the fridge, the multiAirflow works in the same way. This gives you an even temperature on all shelf levels and gets rid of any areas that might be slightly warmer than the rest of the fridge. It also has filters inside to reduce bacteria build up and remove any bad smells.
If the door isn’t closed properly, then an Open Door Alert will bleep to remind you to keep it shut. You also get a superCool and SuperFreeze function – hit these and they will lower fridge/freezer temperatures so new food chills quicker and keeps its freshness for longer.
With all the handy features, it’s still managed to be really efficient. The A+ energy rating works out to just over 9p which could save you money on your bills compared to an older fridge freezer.
