Garry, North Cheam Occasional TV watcher

Score 8.0/10
Good points:
Picture quality - It can make some images appear almost 3D in it's clarity. That fourth colour pixel does make a difference. On a screen of this size there's no point viewing anything that isn't HD because you'll see every flaw in a non-HD image.

Energy usage - A very low standy and decent operational consumption.
Bad points:
Picture adjustment - There's almost too much adjustment available. I've found it difficult to get it "just right" and none of the pre-sets are really to my liking. Most notably, I find the picture can be too dark or "contrasty".

Response lag - I've noticed that when operating both my Humax PVR and Nintendo Wii there's maybe <0.2 sec before the TV responds. For a gamer this would be quite substantial, so unless there's a workaround I couldn't recommend this TV to anyone who's serious about their gaming.

Sound - It's not too bad. However, I'm sure that when designing this unit the manufacturer had the reasonable expectation that someone buying a TV at this end of the market would also have a decent sound system to plug into. It does the job for basic TV watching but for the cinema experience you'll need a cinema sound system to hook up to.

Superb picture, amazing with blu-ray and xbox 360 or PS3. Simple to set-up and nice on screen menus.
Bad points:
Design/look is not as nice as some other on brands on the market, but this doesn't affect the quality.

Disappointed, London Multi-purpose viewer

Score 2.0/10
Good points:
Nice big TV screen
Easy to set up. Normal definition images really good.
Bad points:
Despite claiming to have freeview HD, the tuner seems incapable of finding any of the HD channels. Customer services were typically unhelpful, first saying it wasn't their problem then claiming the HD channel numbers were 47-52 - numbers that don't exist on the actual tuner.

This is a major flaw as I paid extra specifically for this feature - therefore I am giving it a very low overall score.

Manufacturer's Description

Introducing the ground breaking, 4-Colour Pixel, Super-Slimline LED backlit Quattron LCD TV. Saving up to 40% energy compared with traditional CCFL backlit LCD TV’s, it offers a range and depth of colours previously unseen on LCD TVs, thanks to its yellow sub-pixel, which is additional to the traditional Red, Green and Blue pixels of normal LCD TV’s.

The Quattron range features a whole new, super slim design incorporating an elegant, thin, metal bezel and, on the 820/821 and 920/921 ranges, a fullly flush glass front. Its touch-sensitive controls are integrated into the bottom edge, which features a new look for Sharp: a subtle mirror-effect look with the new Quattron ‘Apex’ and Sharp logos tastefully illuminated – just enough to highlight the exclusivity of these models, but without distracting from the gorgeous 1080P LED picture quality that features now even deeper blacks and more vibrant, rich and realistic colours.
