petre,

Score 7.0/10
Good points:
Easy to install, good cooling gaming around 49-52 C on max or high settings competing with Arctic custom coolers.
Lower power consumption 200-240 Watts for whole PC when load, about 100-110 in idle.

55 C in furmark 1.8.2 benchmark and beat up 660 Ti in 1280x800 and 1600x1050 (which is my native res.) -10085 score
as the 16:10 ratio takes more from a VGA than 16:9 screens I think it performs well.
3GB Vram will help those with high res 16:10 1900x1200
Good game offers I guess to compensate the weak points of the card
DDR5 +340 bit= fast
nice colors on Dell 2209WAf
Bad points:
ATI remain for me in the hotfixes decade, since 3870(HIS not Sapphire) which was my last ATI card and let me with a very bitter taste 2 cards with vram problems and third with weak points and BSODs.

Clean up the previous Nvidia drivers with driver sweeper install 12.8 driver for the card
graphical corruption on 90% of the games, small portions of the screen during 1/2 second.
Clean up the 12.8 and install 12.10 the problem persists.
In the games having the logo gamesevolve or something like that doesn't appear (Sleeping Dogs).
screenshots takes much longer time than with the previous Nvidia card.
Is not quiet new card Sapphire should had fix till now the graphical corruption problem. I wouldn't hold my breath though
....the reason I gave 7/10
WoT players might suffer of low FPS on max settings but that could be another reason not this card
seems like game developers likes more Nvidia than ATI but maybe I'm wrong ...hope so

Henry, Uptown Top Rankin

Score 10.0/10
Good points:
Lots of wide open RAM, will OC hugely, bundled games - by a long way the two titles I'd been most excited about. Super cheap and 13.2 drivers seem up to the task. Was Nvidia for a while as AMD just could not get drivers right for a time...
Bad points:
Cooling, although I've not proven it to be the case, seems a little half-hearted. Temps have been low enough up to now at full load but when it gets a bit dusty or I decide to OC it? I'm not so sure. Also, I've not analysed it but I suspect my oversoslightly OCd 965 BE can't keep up with it. i.e. Crysis 3 - 41 fps stock clock, 55fps (ish) at 3.6ghz with no OC on card.

Dean, Gateshead

Score 10.0/10
Good points:
handles everything I throw at it with ease (running guild was 2 on max settings with fps of 40-50)
easy to install (just had a slight problem with power leads but I think this may have been the PSU)
Bad points:
expensive, but worth it

The SAPPHIRE HD 7950 OC 950 MHz Edition, which is factory overclocked to 950Mhz and features SAPPHIRE’s new dual-extractor technology – Dual-X – a highly efficient multi-heatpipe cooler with dual fans providing quiet and very cool operation during normal operating conditions, and superb cooling performance even under extreme load. The new design is HD 7970 class that enables more head room for overclocking. For enthusiasts wishing to maximise performance, a new version of the SAPPHIRE overclocking tool, TriXX supporting this latest generation of technology is available free to download from the SAPPHIRE website. TriXX allows tuning of GPU voltage as well as core and memory clocks, whilst continuously displaying temperature. Both of the SAPPHIRE HD 7950 models have a dual BIOS, allowing for further experimentation by the enthusiast. On the OC edition, the second BIOS is pre-programmed to allow a higher maximum overclock and more aggressive fan profile.
