Good points:
Excellent price. Very easy to use with good settings. Excellent HD video quality. Very good still images. Very small and compact camera
Bad points:
Battery life short but I have ordered a spare battery. If I was being super critical I have found that on still shots I always seem to get red eye. There is no red eye function but you can edit red eye through the camera.

Good points:
Very handy, Fits in pocket, Crystal clear images, Good Audio Clarity. Love this small gadget.
Bad points:
1. HD Videos do not play on Computers using normal Players like Media Player, Quick Time, Veoh, etc ...Plays with jumping images VLC. Plays fine within the Sanyo and when connected to TV from the Sanyo.
2. Charge doesn't last long.
3. Less optic zoom, but that is the specification ...not a flaw. Might be good with greater optic zoom.

Score 3.0/10
Good points:
Easy set up and balance light to carry around. Good battery life
Bad points:
Picture quality in video and camera not good unclear at times even in anti shake. You have to know what the area is to be as you can not change anything while you are using this camera. It does not like diffrent colour lights at one go ie went on a cruise and they did a fantastic show that had diffrent lights and the camera failed to take a sharp picture.
A big let down.

Score 10.0/10
Good points:
This product was bought for our 11 year old daughter. We were looking for a quality product that will grow with her but not too complicated! The price was excellent the weight and feel of the camera are great and is very comfortable to hold and use. The bonus that it was available in a modern bright pink, girlie but not babyish, was the sale clincher!!
Bad points:
For whatever the reason, Sanyo decided not to supply a wrist strap! even though they strongly recommend using one and we ourselves would prefer and would normally use one! The strap is not easily obtained on it's own and we have experienced difficulty in obtaining one, the search continues!!!

Camcorders Buying Guide

Manufacturer's Description

Although it boasts a very compact form factor, the Xacti CG20 can record Full HD videos at 1920 × 1080 resolution, along with genuine high-resolution photos. SANYO developed a new proprietary high-speed image-processing engine to deliver high image quality in a compact package. The engine is designed to reduce power consumption and provide optimal operation in conjunction with the CMOS image sensor. What’s more, the CG20 employs a newly developed 5x optical zoom function for video shooting. This further expands the shooting area for all situations from wide to telephoto.

Despite being a Full High-Definition video camera, the Xacti CG20 can capture realistic 10-megapixel photos just like those taken with a dedicated digital camera. It can even record higher-resolution images at up to 12 megapixels, using real-time interpolation technology*1.

It used to be that camcorders were reserved only for special occasions. The concept behind the Xacti series, though, was to make it possible to record video clips of spontaneous everyday happenings. Based on this concept, SANYO has developed a range of devices compact enough to carry anywhere and use anytime. With the Xacti CG20, the ergonomic, rounded form is designed to feel comfortable in your hand—it’s the ideal combination of small size and easy usability.
