Good points:
-Great speed improvement over standard HDD
-Silent due to lack of moving parts
-Great price for an SSD
Bad points:
-Not really a bad point, but the drive itself does not come with a fitting bracket for 3.5" drive bays. Luckily my CM Storm Scout came with a bracket, but if you don't have one they're available for as little as £5.

Kristian,

Score 8.0/10
Good points:
Completely changes the Windows startup experience. Everything is up and running immediately. No mess, no fuss, no annoying waiting around while the notification area icons load at startup. It's all just there and finished and done the moment Windows loads.
Loading individual programs is improved, too, but the change in startup speed is just something else.
Bad points:
You do have to start being careful of where you install stuff, again.
I've had several TB of storage for the past few years and having to pay attention to where things are installed again has been a bit of a readjustment.
So long as you're confident about doing so, it's not an issue. For your parents, and other less tech-savvy users, I'd wait until 512GB drives become more affordable and space stops being an issue.

Andrew,

Good points:
Works really well for all my Steam and Origin games. Good size for lots of games. Always nice in BF3 to be the first to spawn in at the start of a round for choice of vehicles ;)
Bad points:
Not as fast as some so perhaps not the best for the OS.

Very Fast and easy to set up. I've been running it for a few months now and have had no problems, but can't say yet how long term reliability will be...
Bad points:
obviously a lot more expensive than standard platter drives, but the price is coming down quite quickly...
