Score 8.0/10
Good points:
Quite easy to use straight from box despite having quite a lot of settings and features. I am still working out how to get the best from it but pleased with pictures to date, especially high zoom. Have not tried to load GPS yet though.

Amazing zoom and the image stabilisation really works. Couldn't believe how well it coped with my shaky hands when zoom is fully extended. Night setting is great too, adds much wamer tones to the picture than using the flash.

The screen was quite easy to see even in bright sunlight (Rome in July).
Vey easy to upload pictures to my PC.

Overall .very good value for the price so look around for deals. Although I really like the Panasonic Lumix range I could not justify spending that much on a camera having lost my last camera on holiday last year but still wanted a good zoom and quality. This was a good alternative on my budget.
Bad points:
It is a tiny bit larger and heavier than some similar cameras. But I think this is an acceptable trade off with the zoom length.
Some loss of definition on high zoom.
Doesn't seem quite as good on close up setting as my old Canon but that's being really picky.
The video setting is pre-set to turn the sound off when the zoom goes. You can reset this but the zoom is quite noisy so you can hear it on playback, especially if recording in quieter settings. If video is important to you there might be better choices.

Good points:
Good screen, easy to use, I like the delete all feature on the WB650, on my old WB500 pictures had to be deleted individually which was a pain. Nice smart looking camera
Bad points:
haven't found any yet.

Score 9.0/10
Good points:
The zoom is great although you have to get used to the control which is much the same on most of these compacts, the controls are easy to use it will suit an inexperienced user if they read the instructions a couple of times and experiment with all the features before you go to actually use it, everything is shown on the screen so you can adjust the setup to what you want and the histogram gives you all the info you need to improve your photos the OIS function works well but you have to be aware of the limits as the manual says, the viewing screen is a good size and gives a clear image would recommend adding a protective film, video button really handy in good position, GPS works well when set up and is a handy extra. I found the macro worked well giving good shots there are plenty of features to use auto and manual, battery life good I found this camera very enjoyable with good quality.
Bad points:
The setting up for the maps can be a bit of a nightmare but very handy when sorted, I found the GPS sensor is easy to cover with your finger, did not like the catch for the battery/SD card would prefer for it to be sprung so that it locked when pushed shut. Recharging the battery takes a long time best to by an extra battery and a mains/car charger.
