Good points:
Excellent suction most of the time, Auto mode generally does a good job. Nice and small and light and easy to maneouver, plenty of tools. Easy to empty.
Bad points:
Don't like the buttons on the handle, would prefer a slider or something. Also occiasionally suction goes a bit low on Auto mode but it's generally okay and you can switch to full power manually - however it's not always that clear what setting it's on though - again, a slider would be better. The holster for parking the hoover extension is a bit flimsy and pops off quite easily, I could see it breaking in the future.

Good points:
Very quiet, powerful, easy to move around. Dust chamber convenient & easy to empty.
Bad points:
Front section of Power Pets Brush fills with fluff & hair & no way of removing easily without un-screwing whole of base plate. Also crevice tool is a little on the wide side.

Good points:
Really powerful - sucked a huge amount of dust out that had presumably been left by the previous hoover. Having the on/off switch on the handle rather than the main body is handy, as is the variable power. Having it on full power gives the carpet a really throrough clean, but means it is harder to push, so for everyday cleaning medium power is fine. Doesn't see to hold as much dust as a bagged vacuum, but its not a problem. Emptying is easy. All in all, I'm happy with it.

Good points:
Great vacuum cleaner overall. 3 levels of suction is great for different floor types. The lowest suction is pretty quiet too so if you have sleeping kids you can vacuum without waking them. The waste compartment is very easy to empty. Havent got as far as cleaning filters as yet.
Bad points:
Only negative is the actual floor head. My old one had a rolling brush and wheels so gliding it across the floor was very easy. This doesnt have any rollers or wheels so as it sucks on a higher settling the head is a bit juddery in movement - not a very smooth action. So it makes harder work on your arms. I can see why they have designed it like this as the great thing is that you dont get hairs wrapped around rollers etc. so its a negative (but for a positive reason). A petite person might find it harder work but a larger person probably wouldnt find it an issue.

Vacuum Cleaner Buyers Guide

Manufacturer's Description

Samsung SC8790

The Samsung SC8790, or FIDO+, is a practical and powerful cleaning solution for your home. The 2000W motor creates 360W of suction power, ensuring thorough pick up of dust and dirt particles on any surface. Specialising in pet hair removal, the FIDO’s dual brush system guarantees comprehensive removal of those stubborn pet hairs.

Plus up your vacuum

Samsung’s uniquely designed Multi Chamber Plus+™ cyclone technology provides a larger capacity dust chamber for more efficient vacuuming, without adding bulk to the appliance – 20% more hidden capacity, in fact. Plus, the multi chamber system helps to eliminate pre-motor clogging, and removes virtually all of the microscopic dust that is often found in vacuumed air. Samsung’s Multi Chamber Plus+™ vacuums won’t overflow or lose suction power easily, allowing you to keep your surfaces clean day after day, year after year.

Longer suction, longer life

Cleaning a room isn’t always easy. And if your vacuum cleaner has lost its suction power, even just a little, the process grows more and more difficult. That’s why Samsung is committed to delivering vacuum cleaners with innovative technologies that prevent premature clogging of filters and other causes of untimely suction power depletion. Samsung vacuum cleaners contain all the technology to help you keep your vacuum running at its peak strength, for easy and efficient cleaning.

Three simple steps are all you need

Emptying the bin after vacuuming can be the least pleasant part of your cleanup. Not with Samsung’s easy-to-empty dust bins. Three simple steps are all it takes to finish the job. Just press the button, pull out the dust bin, and pour out with a simple flick of the wrist. No hassle, no spills, just a cleaner room – made easy.
