Good points:
Purchased for my son for his A levels. He loves the portability and performance. Compared to his the battery lasts all day, the fan is very quiet and the laptop never gets hot on his lap!
Bad points:
The Micro Sd card slot does not allow the cover to be closed with a card inserted.

Score 9.0/10
Good points:
Product is very well made, light weight and looks fantastics! Seems to be a fairly powerful machine and has been very responsive. Overall I am very pleased with this purchase.
Bad points:
Fringes prints are unavoidable and very prominent which is a shame!

Operating system seems to consume 40 gb which I couldn't understand why. Out of the 128 gb capacity only 95 gb was available for use. I understand that there might be a hidden partition used for recovery purposes which might explain the missing 30. There is no partition on the hard drive so if you need to recover you'll lose all your personal files unless you back up regularly.

Unless I'm mistaken you can only recover your system via the included recovery cd so if you wanted to delete the hidden partition to free up space and create a more flexible configuration then you'd need to contact Samsung to see if they'll provide a stand alone copy of Windows or be forced to buy your own copy and then obtain all the necessary drivers which is a pain!

To connect to a HDMI TV you'll need either a micro hdmi to hdmi cable, a micro hdmi adapter or Samsung's micro hdmi VGA adapter which is £30.

USB slots are on opposite ends of the laptop so if you are thinking of getting an external DVD drive / writer which most require 2 USB slots to power you'll need to buy another USB extension cable for it to reach. Again Samsung provide a similar styled DVD writer for the 9 series which only requires 1 cable but is moderately expensive but worth it!

Good points:
Design, battery life and performance
Bad points:
Bad, bad track pad. Screen brightness dynamically adjusts; I'm sure that feature can be disabled but I can be annoying and default brightness has a tendency to set its.

Score 9.0/10
Good points:
Very light. Extremely fast start up time, nice and quick.
Nice design and looks gorgeous. Very capable machine.
Bad points:
Not many really. The laptop is a good looking machine, however it is spoilt by the fact that it seems to show all finger marks etc on the case. So it always looks dirty. A shame since it is a such a good looking machine.
Track pad takes a little time to get use to.
