Good points:
I think it is always helpful to know a little bit about the reviewer. I am a business consultant, witha above average knowledge about computers, although less so about the hardware side of things. I did my research and purcharchased this particular model (Samsung N120) primarily for battery life. Samsung netbooks have a lot of good reviews elsewhere including "Which" magazine Best Buy status. Battery life is far far better than my old laptop top but not sure whether it matches the advesrtised spec. as i have so far used it intermittently. It probably does, though, and it is light weight, has a lovely screen and is a very quiet machine. Very happy to see thatthere wasn't loads of junk software or trial software, pre-loaded - jsut windows XP, and relevant software such as Adobe Acrobat Reader etc. Overall, I am very happy with this machine
Bad points:
I have found it a little slow running some of my specialist software. I think this is probably a general disadvantage of using netbooks with the Atom processors and very much doubt it is a N120 specific problem. Saying that, it is fine for MS Office applications and wouldn't be a problem for the vast majority of users and it is a disadvantage i can live with

Score 9.0/10
Good points:
It's small, easily portable, with a good battery life. I use it even more than I'd expected, and enjoy using it.
Bad points:
The screen is a little shallow: tiled Excel files are not really feasible at 100%. Although I like Windows XP, I feel this limits its long-term usefulness.

Intel Atom processor

Incorporating Intel’s smallest and lowest power processor, the Intel Atom processor, this is specifically designed to deliver an amazing Internet experience using mini-notebooks. Based on an entirely new micro-architecture, the Intel Atom processor increases energy efficiency to extend battery life, whilst delivering enhanced mobile performance and increased system responsiveness on mini-notebook devices.

The N120’s 10.1" widescreen display is optimised to deliver a seamless visual experience on the mini-notebook and by using LED technology means that the screen is thinner, up to 33% brighter, and uses much less power than traditional LCD screen.
