Good points:
Quiet and fast printer. Has an ad hoc wifi mode if the router isn't near the printer.
Bad points:
Wifi was tricky to set up but at least you only have to do it once.

Good points:
Ease of set-up on a cat-5 cable was second to none. From box to printing was well under five minutes.
Simple to use, quiet, totally silent on standby.
Bad points:
Not exactly as attractive as a Monet. Wireless instructions are less than helpful even if you are technically adept. Toner costs work out greater than the total cost of the printer if you need to refill the machine.

Good points:
It works!
Bad points:
Setting up the printer with a Macbook was a nightmare, took several hours and reading others' reviews on the printer.
Also seems to go offline regularly and need to be switched off and on again.

Good points:
Very quiet when in use
Bad points:
Wireless IP address needs to be refreshed when a modem/router has its address changed by the comms provider but will work without issues if you set against a static IP address. Not difficult to do but just a small irritant.

Score 5.0/10
Good points:
The test page indicates a very good quality
Bad points:
Bit big and bulky, but this may just be because its a laser.
The set up, and what they do'nt tell you. It is'nt an easy plug and play.
You need a cable connection first, and that is'nt supplied.
Cable appears not to be a std. USB / USB cable.

Good points:
Easy to set up. Good print quality. Works from both my PC and my Mac. I found the wireless option easy enough to use, but there is one wrinkle - many households assign IP addresses on a dynamic basis (DHCP option on their router) - the printer needs to be given a stable IP address - you can do this on your router by assigning a stable IP address to the printer's MAC code - your router's documentation will show you how to do this.

John, Newcastle Frequent home user

Score 4.0/10
Good points:
Decent print quality
Bad points:
Incredibly difficult to set up for wireless printing, even after assistance from Samsung's Help Line, even for someone with decades of experience in the IT industry.

With the paper tray (and mains cable) sticking out, the printer is very much larger than advertised.
