Most helpful reviews

Nigel, Coleford

Score 9.0/10
Good points:
Quality product, very well designed and built. Plenty of mains cable supplied and the saw is not heavy and therefore suitable for prolonged use. Gives the user confidence that they are using a quality tool.
Bad points:
Chain adjuster is a little fiddly to use, but most chainsaws use a similar mechanism

Good points:
Good to use - quite well balanced - great for domestic garden jobs.
Bad points:
Didn't come with any chain oil or the option to buy - had to get some locally - though not expensive.
Chain dies tend to come off quite a lot even though adjusted correctly

Very few!.
Bad points:
The locking knob which locks the chain bar in place is absolutly usless, it will not hold it in position for more than a few second cutting so that the chain comes loose. If you keep going with it the chain falls off, and this in turn damages the chain. As you can tell I am very unhappy with this product. My previous chainsaw was a cheap Black & Decker which had given me excellent service for many years I am sorry now that I didnt buy another one.

Dave, Harrogate

Score 8.0/10
Good points:
The product is well made and a substantial piece of kit. It should give many years of service
Bad points:
The sett ing up of the chain is not simple for a novice like myself and there is very little info on sharpening, and with what tools. The setting up is badly described in words and there are no really informative diagrams.
A leaflet setting out these details, the availability of spare chains and the life expectancy of the chains would have resulted in a near 100% yes for this chainsaw
