The steam is pumped into the cavity via an external reservoir located on the left hand side of the unit. When the steam/microwave function is selected the heating element in the bottom of the reservoir generates the steam for the cavity and is fed through a a small inlet in the cavity wall as per below.
Light wave technology can save energy and reduce the risk of bacteria build up within the cavity. The light wave grill is known to be 10-15% more energy efficient than a regular Quartz grill and allows for more even heating.
