Most helpful reviews

Tim, Nether Wallop Casual listener

Score 4.0/10
Good points:
Reception is good when running off new batteries, and tuning works pretty well across the SW bands
Bad points:
- Very short battery life
- Won't run off rechargeable batteries, presumably as their voltage is slightly lower than non-rechargeable batteries
- Very prone to interference from a mains power supply - this needs to be a high quality unit so no noise goes down the power lines. The Roberts one is quite expensive, we've tried a couple fo 3rd party ones we had around and they were no good
- there is no permanent memory of radio settings. When changing batteries, you only have 3 minutes, or your settings are lost, and if you run the batteries right down the settings are lost too.

Score 9.0/10
Good points:
Both RDS and alarm integrated. Stereo sound into headphone.
Bad points:
Even the Radio is based on RDS, the auto-search (find the best signal for the same station) feature is missing. It whould be very useful for people, like me, changing often town, to find quickly the preferred station already put in the memory.
Few buttons to directly select preselected station whould be also appreciated.
